Quiet Please! The HEPASilent™ Filter.

The Blueair HEPASilent technology is a grouping of several cutting edge technologies which make Blueair unusually quiet and highly affective.
1. Particles, including dust, pet dander, molds and bacteria are drawn into the Blueair Ionic Chamber and given a slight electrical charge.
2. The electrically charged particles enter the low density 3-Stage Progressive HEPASilent Filter.
3. The particles becomes irresistibly attract to the HEPASilent fibers, where it becomes trapped forever.
Blueair uses low density polypropylene fibers to allow for freer movement of air than conventional HEPA air cleaners. Quietly, with SurroundAir technology, large volumes of air are moved through the purifier.

3-Stage Progressive Filter.

The Blueair 603 has three separate HEPASilent fillters. Each Blueair HEPASilent filter has three separate layers of polypropylene fibers that trap 6 times more dirt than other brands of air cleaners which use only one HEPA layer. Once this single layer becomes clogged, these traditional filters stop working. Blueair filters have millions of ultra thin fibers which are packed loosely to maintain the highest air flow with the lowest resistance possible in mechanical filtration. In each stage of filtration the fibers become progressively smaller. The outter filter layer traps the largest particles including pollen and dust. The middle and inner layer trap even the smallest submicroscopic particles including smoke and bacteria . Blueair purifiers trap 99.97% of all particles 0.1 micron in size.

SurroundAir™ - Maximal Coverage with Minimal Drafts.

Do you dislike noisy, drafty appliances? Traditional air cleaners use loud fans to force air into and out of their machines. Blueair uses a whisper quiet fan and draws dirty air into the sides and bottom of the purifier. After being thoroughly cleansed, the air is gently released via diffusion through the sides and top of the Blueair purifier without creating a stir. This unique Blueair filter minimizes noise and drafts.

The Optional SmokeStop™ Filter

The Bluair SmokeStop filter is made with Enhanced Activated Carbon in addition to the HEPASilent standard particle filter. 5.3 pounds of activated carbon is made from coconut shell and treated with Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) and Potassium Iodide (KI) for enhanced adsorption. The SmokeStop filter removes cigarette and wood smoke, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide,cleaning products, paint thinner and other VOCs (volatile organic compounds) from the air.
